Superbad - 5/10 The movie was an average comedy in my opinion. Reminded me a lot of the original American Pie. Crude and sexual humor with a lot of language. I don't mind that stuff as long as it's funny. But I found my self forcing out laughter as the entire theatre was cracking up a lot of the time. I was a little disappointed that all the funniest parts I had already seen in the trailers but oh well. I still encourage you to go watch it if you love comedies...a lot of people said this was the funniest movie since 40 Year Old Virgin. Bottome line: American Pie with a new twist.

I think I'll probably skip that b/c I thought 40 yr old virgin was dumb as hell. it's one thing to say the F bomb a handful of times, but its like serously every other word - it's just gross and dumb.
Anyways not a new movie - but I did see Fracture, that movie is outstanding. suspense, only gore is int he begining, and decently quick. The movie is very clever, and has a lot of cynical humor. It's not as scientific and in depth as a CSI, but it is very CSI-ish. Fracture is right up there with Zodiak in my opinion - both must see's.

Halloween (Romb Zombie Remake) - 1/10 An absolutely horrid film. You might enjoy this if you like horror movies or if you're a sicko and enjoy bloody murder...but that's still a stretch. The editing in the film had about the same amount of talent shown in the movies of my 8th grade "video art" class, but then again that's how all of Zombie's films are. Mike Myers as a kid was a joke and his adult form had equally bad acting. The only reason I give this movie a one is because there are a few really hot chics in the movie, including Zombie's wife (wtf kind of last name is Zombie anyway?). It's a tragedy they ruined a truly classic horror film, the benchmark in horror industry. Bottom line: Please go rent the original Halloween instead of watching this trashy film.

The Kingdom - 9/10 Awesome movie. I would recommend it for even those who don't normally watch action movies. Good story and good acting. The ending is really intense and will have you on the edge of your seat. This was the first "modern terrorist" theme movie for me and I think it was well done. It gave me a whole different view on how evil terrorists really are. Bottom line: Go see it.
Saw IV - 4/10 I really thought they were gonna stop after the third one but I guess with the money these movies rake in, why not? And apparently they are already set to make another two even though the series seems to digress continually...go figure. They will never make another Saw movie as good as the first one, it just won't happen. You can't recreate a twist that good, especially when the audience is expecting it now. I will give the editors majors props in this film though, they didn't a pretty impressive job with the cut scenes. But other than that it's pretty much your typical Saw movie... crazy traps, some blood and some bad acting. I wouldn't bother seeing this one in theatres unless you have already seen the first three. The fourth edition gives some pretty good background info on Jigsaw that fans might want to know. Bottom line: What I just said.
We Own The Night - 9/10 Wow. This movie was immaculate. I'm a big time crime movie fan and this film delivered for me. Haven't seen a film like this since The Departed. The acting was semi-decent, but the action scenes were what makes this movie worth seeing. They almost had me fallin off my seat they were so intense. I don't think I have seen a bad movie with Mark Wahlberg yet. Bottom line: A must see for crime movie fans. Oh yea, and you can see smokin' hot Eva Mendez's tit.
