I dunno if you guys have seen this already (if u have, sry for the repost) but this a pretty awesome website that will show your download and upload rates and what your normal ping would be in servers at almost every location in the world. It's pretty sweet. I would check it out, it only takes a few seconds to do a test.
*BTW, if you already see some stats on that page they are from me.

A lot of us here in Btown use speakeasy.net this is also a good place to go to get a speed test.
