Week 2 of cal 8v8 season we faced off against team Origin on Suez Canal, both teams were 1-0 going into tonights match! BoS would start the battle on PAC side.
Round 1- PAC:
Round 1 of Suez Canal would start off with a quick flanking run by the BoS infantry squad trying to cap out Origins main spawn, and eliminate their armor threat. While our Armor and Walker moved up to the bridge, where the bulk of the armor battle would take place. PAC our armor having one less take, would stay in a defensive role and hold our side of the map, relying heavily on an infantry flank team to cap the EU sides main base. With our infantry causing chaos in Origins main spawn, their Walker and one tank were forced to hold back from the bridge spawn and keep our infantry at bay. After many a Jihad jeeps across the bridge, artillery and emp strikes knocking out walker and tank alike, we managed to take their rear spawn, and get them in the ticket bleed. We managed to hold them in the bleed long enough to take away some valuable tickets, but in the end round 1 came down to Furby making some blind shots from across the bridge and knocking out infantry men to win the round with a 2-0 BoS win!
Round 2-EU:
For the EU side, they are issued another tank, so we used this to our advantage, by having 1 tank in our rear as guarding our main spawn along with Commander Spank, while having our other tank, and walker, pushing across the main Bridge. While this Armor distraction was taking place and dodging Jihad Jeeps, our own Infantry team was running behind in a jeep and once again causing chaos on the PAC side of the map. After a vicious battle, we managed to capture the spawn directly across the bridge, so with having full control of the bridge, and 3 spawn points, we once again had Origin in the ticket bleed. With our armor pushed up, and holding back their Counter attacks. The round would end in a 54-0 BoS victory.
Great job to everyone who played, and to team Origin to a very hard fought match.
Our MVP for tonight was Furby for his expert flanking missions and leadership with his infantry squad, getting in behind team Origin to take their spawn on each side, putting us into the ticket bleed, and ensuring a BoS win; oh and also those 2 blind shots into no where that got us a round 1 win!!
Great Job again to Everyone who played in the match, we played very well tonight to give us our 2nd win in CAL this season, keeping us undefeated at 2-0 and currently 3rd in the Overall standings.
