Wow. Makes me glad we're not ultra competitive like that. I can't imagine telling the guys in our CoD 4 team to basically fuck off because I wanted to bring in another group. Goes to show there is no loyalty in organizations like that.

Anyone that has business connections and some money to blow can make a "professional" gaming team. Advertising is what drives "e-sports", so all you really need to be "successful" are some sponsors. It's always the same two or three teams that win every single tournament that matters, so a lot of these "pro" teams that you see will rarely, if ever, finish first in competitions. Are they good? Of course. They probably are in the top 10 rankings of any competition they compete in, but there are only a select few that go the distance. The reason I say all that is because I read the article and came across, "Pandemic, LLC President So and So". I lol'ed. THESE ARE VIDEO GAMES FOR CHRISSAKE, not a friggin' muilti-million dollar business companies. I guess people like to feel important, or live out some dream they can't experience in real life?
Anyway, my whole point is that I think we should enjoy what we have here as a team. So what if we haven't won anything yet? I would say 98% of all the gaming organizations we see from day to day will never ever ever ever make substantial earnings from competing. GAMING = ADVERTISING. It's that simple. So what if we don't have sponsors or stupid sponsor team names? It won't make us play any better, as it certainly doesn't help any of the other teams we play against (we proved that last COD4 season in CAL). I play video games and compete to have fun. That's all. I just think too many gamers get caught up in this hype of trying turn "pro". Forget about it, it's not happening. As we continue to play and have fun as a team our day of glory will come, I guarantee it.
Sorry, I'm bored at work and had to rant.

I agree. And the sweetest thing of all when it truly is our time, we'll be able to shine much brighter for achieving success the "right way". We won't be paying off a group of guys to come play for us, we'll be doing it ourselves and it will be a product of hard work and team unity and not just a reflection of how much money someone on our team has.

the former Pandemic was in talks with Complexity BEFORE leaving Pandemic, but Lemley caught wind of it and decided he'd retaliate by cutting the squad before they could leave him first.
