Hate Vista, but don't want to downgrade to XP. Try Windows Server 08! Saw this article about using server 08 for your workstation and I think I might try it. http://www.win2008workstation.com/wordpress/ |

Try it out and let us know. If it is any good I might consider doing it, as I too dislike Vista.... Well I at least hate my mobo which is all I have had since Vista. So I really can't say. |

I have Vista on my laptop and I have had zero problems for almost a year now, and I just upgraded to SP1. Granted I don't use it as much, but I have run some pretty heavy programs on it without any problems. |

yeah we use vista at work, and its not too bad... I just prefer the quick boot time of my barebones XP install. |

I didn't have too many problems, but my games suffered between 15-20 fps drop in Vista. |

I have Vista on my laptop and on my machine at work and it runs fine on both of them. Compared to XP the transfer times are a lot slower, but the stability is there. I would use Vista on my main machine at home too if the gaming performance was on par with XP. As of right now, most all games suffer a decrease in performance when played under Vista, unfortunately. |

Thats why you build a machine so awesome you don't notice it =) |
